Private client - Marker Rasen, Lincolnshire.
Often I get asked for planting designs and after discussing what plants the client likes and what they don't, I draw a scheme for the area. This area was along side the drive at the front of the house and the client wanted a stunning cottage garden display.
The centre piece is a pampas grass then around this is knipfofia, Echinacea, carex, hosta, phlox, and many more plants all mixed in for the riot of colour that the client wanted. The different plants have different flowering times so throughout the year there is something in flower all the time.
I do truly love blending a planting scheme like this one. Contrasting forms and colours and adding in plants of different heights for more and more interest.
